Jakub Piątek awarded The Golden Hobby-Horse for „Bacewicz x Bomsori”

At the 66th Kraków Film Festival Jakub Piątek received the Golden Hobby-Horse for Best Short Documentary. The award was presented by the jury of the Polish Competition, comprising Olga Bobrowska, Łukasz M. Maciejewski and Maria Zbąska.

The verdict reads: Once we fall in love with the protagonist, all theoretical justifications become irrelevant. For a simple and beautiful portrait in which one artist is reflected in another across the boundaries of time and space.

The award at the Kraków Film Festival marks yet another success for the film. Previously, “Bacewicz x Bomsori” was screened at the FIPADOC festival in France, amongst others, and also won the Jury Grand Prix for Best Documentary Film at the One Country One Film festival.
