Bacewicz x Bomsori in the official selection of the FIPADOC

FIPADOC 2026 is one of the most significant international festivals dedicated to documentary film. The event, held annually in Biarritz, traditionally inaugurates the calendar of key global documentary events. The festival programme includes the film “Bacewicz x Bomsori”, directed by Jakub Piątek.

The director of the highly acclaimed Pianoforte, which was recognised by both the audience and the international jury, this time presents a film that is an intimate record of the artistic process of South Korean violinist Bomsori Kim as she prepares to perform Grażyna Bacewicz’s Polish Rhapsody. Observing solo rehearsals, work with a pianist, meetings with the orchestra and conductor, the documentary shows not only the path to the concert performance, but also the artist’s personal dialogue with the work of the Polish composer, whose music Bomsori Kim has been consistently promoting on world stages for years. The film is a production of the PWM Edition in cooperation with Telemark, and co-produced by FINA.
